St Leonard's is a community Church and we are known for our welcome, good hospitality and friendliness.

At the centre of our life is our Parish Communion on 1st, 2nd, 4th & 5th Sundays at 10am.   On the 3rd Sunday we have a Third Sunday Service with Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child this is accessible to families of all ages.   A good number of baptisms, weddings and funerals take place in Church, signifying the sense of attachment to the Church which many local people feel.

Church members are involved in schools and in many community groups in Dinnington promoting the links between the community and the church.

The Church building dates from about 1897 and was enlarged in 1906, although there has been a church on this site since 1147.   Of particular interest are the Kempe windows in the North Aisle.  A narthex was created in 1985 and is separated by the Miners' Memorial Screen which commemorates those who died at Dinnington Main Colliery prior to its closure in 1991.
